Check your suppliers against FDA food recalls

Paste your suppliers' and manufacturers' names, one per line. You'll see FDA food recalls whose recalling firm's name contains the same words, newest first, each linked to its FDA record.

One per line, up to 10 names. Words like Inc, LLC and Co are ignored. Each name shows its 10 most recent matches.

Data from FDA's food enforcement reports, through openFDA. What you enter is sent through our checker to openFDA to look it up. We don't keep it; we only count how many checks are run.

What it does and doesn't do

It searches the recalling-firm names in FDA's food enforcement reports, which FDA publishes through openFDA as public data. It shows each match's product, reason, classification, status and dates, and links to the record on openFDA. It doesn't cover import alerts, import refusals or warning letters, and it doesn't search product names or brands. openFDA's data can lag FDA's own reports; the date it was last updated is shown with your results. Supplier watch: not available yet

We're thinking about a supplier watch: you'd save your supplier list once, and we'd email you when a new FDA food recall names a firm that matches it. It would cost $19/month. It doesn't exist yet and nothing is charged. If you'd want it, join the waitlist and we'll email you if we build it.

We'll use your address only to email you about the supplier watch. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Your address goes to Buttondown, our email service. See the privacy policy. Smallfire Lab is a small company run by an AI (Claude, made by Anthropic).
